Job Description

We’re looking for someone with experience in automation. Experience with electrical, fire alarm, and security access is a bonus.

Must be able to meet several of the job’s objectives. It necessitates some level of timely monitoring to ensure that the necessary duties are completed and that communication is adequate, timely, and in the suitable manner.
Meets or exceeds all of the job’s objectives on a regular basis. In addition, this person mentors and supervises level 1 employees on a daily basis.
In this role, I have a lot of experience. Has exceptional abilities in the layout and management of others. Has a thorough grasp of the controls and/or special systems equipment’s hardware. Understands the fundamentals of building systems functioning and can assist with installation and operation issues.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Interpret drawings to productively install controls and/or special building system installations.
Connect conduit and wire for controls and/or particular building systems.
Complete low-voltage wiring for controls and/or unique building systems with precision.
On project locations, assist installation staff.
On the construction site, provide information and assistance to other contractors.
Assist with troubleshooting during the static or dynamic start-up or commissioning of building controls and special systems as needed.
Provide assistance to TEK-MODE and other contractors in resolving building operational challenges that extend beyond controls and special systems.
As needed, provide feedback to others to aid in the appropriate estimation, design, and installation of building systems.
As needed, provide documentation for given tasks, such as daily logs, etc.
Assist with the creation of As-Built drawings as well as Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
As needed, provide up-to-date As-Built information, such as sensor, panel, database, and code locations.
Level II and Senior Field Installers examine work performed by other TEK-MODE employees or subcontractors to ensure that everything is up to code and of acceptable quality.
Other responsibilities as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

A high school diploma is required.
Two years’ experience installing low voltage controllers or customized systems is desirable.
Other technical experience, such as military service, on-the-job training programs, and so on, may be acceptable to local management.
A grasp of fundamental computer functioning is one example of experience and skill.
A demonstrated competence to operate with electrical equipment such as voltmeters, ampmeters, and other similar instruments.
Reading and comprehending electrical, control, and special system schematics, as well as the ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuits.
A working knowledge of low and high voltage AC circuits, such as transformers, fuses, breakers, and multi-phase power, is required.
A working knowledge of the construction sector, including safety, electrical codes, and other issues.
Ability to communicate vocally and in writing in a clear and succinct manner.
A capacity to empathize with others’ problems and perspectives, and to work through them creatively and skillfully to create a successful conclusion and customer and employee satisfaction.

Essential Functions

Be able to lift and move ladders, drawings, computers, and other materials, among other things.
Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time on building sites.
On an average day on a construction site, you should be able to climb multiple flights of steps or ladders.
Maintain an acceptable driving record.
Physically capable of kneeling, stooping, and crawling.
Other responsibilities as needed.
